Invaild change #3

Post by jason galbraith »

Doing our head in a bit here. Today we had an issue where after an emergency stop issue we had to normalise the c marks on the x-axis. Did that and all went well. Cut out a couple of jobs no probs. This afternoon we went to run a job and just after homing the machine an error came as a PLCSYS.exe has caused errors in Windows and needs to restart the program. It also says on the right hand side of the screen Invalid change #3. The number 3 tool is in the changer. Any ideas anyone? Typically this has happened just as we've ordered a new super control but won't be in for a few weeks.

Check your tool managenent screen on tool 3 to make sure the actuator ID, actuator position, changer ID and changer position are all set correctly and not set to 0. If they are set to 0, then your tool management is corrupted and needs to be reset.

Thanks Daniel, had to use an old toolman.cpy file and change it to toolman.thm and then seeing as it was a couple of years old an we've changed cutters etc. since then, do a complete tool setup overhaul, but it is now working again. Greatly appreciated. Can't wait to use the new controller when it arrives. :)
