Graphing

Post by Kerry Fullington »

I can't get anything to graph using the Thermwood Desktop.
If I batch the standard base frameless in eCabinets then write the twd file and nest it in control Nesting,
when I try to graph I get a Y axis out of bounds error.
I can't find what setting I have wrong.
This is a screen shot of the line of the error.

I get out of bounds errors on anything I try to graph or the graph screen just runs for hours saying please wait. The program doesn't freeze in the task manager but says running. I let it run for several hours.

Any Ideas?

Hi Kerry,
I've never tried to graph anything, but I wonder if you need to include the offset in the graph to move to G901 / G902 so the coordinates are not out of bounds?
Total guess. I'll be interested to see what happens and maybe I'll have to go graph something now to see what it really does! :)

Kerry,

The graphing screen runs through a program the same way the machine would run it if it was running the program for real. This means that if the program stops and asks for an input(sheet number) then the graphing screen does the same thing. This is why it runs for hours and doesn't show anything. The way around this is to comment out all of the input questions, which there can be alot of them. The out of bounds is because of how it runs the program also. If the values for your G901 or G902 are not set in the machine variables on the desktop, then the graph uses the 0.000 that is stored in the machine variables and works from there. You will need to input the correct value in the machine variables. If you need anything else, let me know.

Daniel,

I will check the machine variables. I assumed that when I synched the Desktop with Keith's Control that it would match the machine variables.

I was trying to use the graphing to check out files for problems before I send them to Keith to cut.
