Chamfering the edge of doors.

I build rustic cabinets and build flat panel doors out of rough sawn 1x and chamfer the edges. When I try to do this to the doors in the program it leaves an edge like the door has edge banding on it with the chamfer. I have the edge banding set to 0". Any clue as what to do? I only want to do this for presentation purposes.

Hi Dave,
All "Slab Doors" in e-cabinets must have edgebanding, even if it is 0 thickness as you have it set. You can change the edgebanding pattern to be the same as the sheet stock pattern for a slab door, or you can use a MDF door instead which does not have edgebanding. With the MDF door, you could use a new material and apply an exterior profile (your chamfer) to achieve the look you're after.

Sorry it took so long to get back but I just tried using the MDF door this morning and it worked like a charm. Took me a bit because you can't take the door to the part editor but instead you have to apply the chamfer to the door edge when you set the door as the default door.
