Flip Operations

Post by Anthony C Patschorke »

When I nest I have 4 pages and with eight flip operations total. However, when I print labels to screen I only get two flip-op bar code numbers. What am I missing. Regards

Anthony, can you post the job? You will have to zip it first.

Thanks for the reply. I learned that If the holes are lined up and they are half the depth of the material, a flip op will not incur. Learning Learning. I really could now use the run down on flip op directions. I know end to end is for one thing and side to side is for another. Could someone please go into detail on that for me. Regards

Anthony,
If you have manual flip operations, i.e. flipping one part at a time (with the bar code on the label) then it is helpful to be sure the label is on the lower left corner of the part before it is flipped. When that part is flipped, the label should now be face down on the lower right corner of the part. Flip left - to - right.

If you are flipping the sheet (via the flip-ops first function in control nesting) then you would be flipping the entire sheet but flipping on the opposite axis. So when prompted the sheet should be flipped from front-to-back.

Some of these variables can be changed and I don't know what machine you're using, so I hope that helps for now.
