I was wandering if anyone was using a end mill cutter for metal on solid wood. We have some molding to run that have some flat faces and our standard spiral cutters are leaving lines from the sharp points on the ends. The only end mills I can locate are for metal.
Hi Scott,
I have not tired metal cutters on wood or plywood - but I have had excellent results with a flat bottom tool, like a 2 flute straight cutter.

Thanks Josh: I will give that a try. I found some flat bottom spiral cutters on MLCS web site. We have some straight 2 flute carbide tipped cutters on hand but there is a space on the bottom between the tips. I will have to try one and see if they leave marks too. Before purchasing one.
