I am looking for the best way to make a donut with an inside diameter of 24" and an outside diameter of 30".
1- create panel 30,30
2- bring to Part Editor
3- make circle at @15,15 w/ 12" radius
4- cut pocket, through
5- fillet 4 corners with 15" radius
Is there a better way to make this? Especially the outer diameter?
The quickest way to do the outside would probably be to create a full circle in the contour area, then return to main PE, Right-Click and choose Create Part Using Closed Contour, pick the full circle geometry, then select Next (you can then choose to keep or discard the geometry). Make sure that the circle is completely on the part before doing this or you will potentially get flats at one or more areas. Hope this helps.
