The installation says we are installing Version 6.0 Build 8 RC1. Is this correct?

That will only show for you since you are a beta user. Once you are past the first section, it will say V6 build 8. All regular users will see V6 build 7 at the start of the upgrade process.

You are upgrading the RC1 version. The messages from InstallShield can be a bit misleading.
