We are using eCabinets for a CNC project in my college cabinetmaking course.
Being a new user of eCabinets, I have run into a problem that I am sure one of you veterans may know the solution for.
I have designed a coffee table (01-coffe-table.jpg) made from a cabinet with Blind Dado joinery with 2 partitions (02-cabinet-wth-partitions.jpg). The top, bottom and sides of the cabinet have been deleted partitions have been cut in the Part Editor to form the legs of the coffee table.
The problem: The mortises for the table legs remain the original length of the partitions before they were cut to size in the Part Editor.
My question: How do I get the mortises to shrink to fit the tenons of the legs of the table (the legs were originally the partitions I cut in the Part Editor)?
Tom, make the partitions the right size first by using front and back insets, that should set the length of the mortise. After that you can cut the center portion out in the PE.
