I'm in a real mess... a contractor I hired to develop some cabinets for me somehow designed a great number of cabinets as Assembly files (.esa)
While I can put those into a room the problem is that we have all our other cabinets for this large library (about half of them) already set up as actual Cabinet files (.hsf)
So I'd have half of my library as Cabinets and half of it as Assemblies.
Is there any way to convert those Assembly (.esa) files into Cabinetr (.hsf) files???
I tried selecting all of an Assembly (.esa) and exporting it as a Cabinet (.hsf) file but all the material data, etc. seemed to be stripped away - "image not found" statement plastered all around the cabinet.
Please, if anyone can help... we'd be very greatful!!!
Wow, you may have really saved us a LOT of grief (well at least you may have saved our contractor a world of hurt).
I tried that on one of the Assemblies and it seemed to work very well - the only item that didn't come through was a faux drawer panel we had at the top over the door (this particular cabinet is more of a filler).
I'll try this on some others and see if there are any other issues... thank you VERY MUCH!!!
In that particular case, you can assoicate the assembly object with the cabinet. Double click and highlight the cabinet you want the drawer panel to be assoicated too. Then click to highlight that panel. Right Click and choose Associations->Associate to Cabinet. Now when you save the cabinet, the panel will save with it.
