Fit Clearances for backs
We currently use a full dado for our 1/4" backs they seem to be fitting rather tight and some times we have to trim them down a bit to fit. I know that if you select blind dado and set the thickness to 100% and set the tenon placements to for example 1" the machine will obey the depth and fit clearances. I was wandering if I were to select blind dado and set the tenon placements to 0" would the machine still obey the depth and fit clearances or would it just treat the blind dado as a full dado?
Yes! Oh Yes! I Think We Are Going to make It!

Re: Fit Clearances for backs
Scott,
With a blind dado operation, the fit and depth clearances will still be obeyed. In fact, you can set the thickness to something more than 100% if you want to see the graphical representation of where the "enlargement" is taking place, and that will be obeyed as well.
You can also run a nest, drill down to the part in question, then look at the dimensions for each operation that is on the part.
