Anyway to interrupt and stop the nesting process

Is there any way to interrupt the nesting process? If I get an error of some sort, I would like to stop the process (takes a long time on a kitchen with 21 cabinets), fix the problem and start the nest again.

This would save a LOT of time.

If that happens with me I kill the program and start it over. A lot of times it's just quicker. Make sure everything is saved before you do this. I learned the hard way.

We did an upgrade and added the Personal Pause Button You can stop the program, Change tools, fly cut, etc. then resume the program where you left off. This is one of the best things Thermwood has come up with.

That is a feature of the Thermwood control, not the ShopBot.

For sure the "Remote Pause" functionality is great but does not really apply to what I believe Donald was asking about. I think his issue was when Control Nesting is actually performing the optimization/code generation and numerous (probably common) errors are present throughout the job. Me thinks Donald would like to find a way to jump out of the sometimes seemingly endless "Error/Warning [Ok]" pop-ups when an appropriate tool is not available or similar.

I personally would like to see any errors written to a temporary "error/warning log" - with relative references (eg. job, cabinet, part name, material, sheet, part number, error detail) - in the background. If there were actual errors/warnings it would be presented once the process is completed and the operator could be given a chance to save the log or print it out. Optionally, perhaps CN could have a setting to stop recording errors and self-abort the process after a certain threshold of errors/warnings were reached - the "truncated" log still being presented to the operator.

Thanks, Brad for bringing this back on track.

The Pause option (on a Thermwood Control) is used during program operation and gives the operator several options, i.e., Quit or Resume the program (router stops and starts automatically), start a sheet over, leave a skin, replace a tool or fly cut the table. This does not as Brad indicated abort the nesting process.
