I am building the following cabinet. I've put a door and drawer in it. I have selected Hickory for the material to use for the slab drawer face and the 5-piece Conastoga TW-10 5-piece door.
When I go into Cutlist to get a detailed breakdown, it is showing the the drawer face is, in fact, using hickory. However Cutlist says the door is made from 3/4" generic for rails and stiles and 5/8" generic for the panel.
Is there a bug in selecting material to build doors and drawers faces with?

Build in House 5 piece doors use the 5 piece door breakdown settings that are set in Settings/Preferences for the cut list.

Re: Drawer/Door designer not using correct wood
Thanks Rick.
For some reason I was thinking that if you selected a certain wood in the door/drawer editor that is what was to be used. Didn't know that this was overriden in preferences.

Re: Drawer/Door designer not using correct wood
Just to clarify. The default cut list values for 5 piece door/drawers are in Settings/Preferences. These values are used if you do not set anything in the Door/Drawer Designer using the Details for Cut list Button.

Re: Drawer/Door designer not using correct wood
Rick,
What was happening was that in preferences the default was set to Generic. In the door/drawer editor I was selecting Hickory for the material but when I ran the Cutlist, the 5-piece doors were still Generic. For some reason selecting Hickory wasn't overriding the Generic material in Preferences.
