making simple panels

Post by Brandon Harrel »

Im still a newbie. How do you design a simple Dishwasher or fridge cover panel. The ones I make are usually just a basic 1.75" rail (3/4 thick) with a 1/2" wide dado (1/4" deep) offset by 1/4". I usally just attach a piece of plywood to the dado. I typically use them attached with a rail 3/4"-3" wide. thanks

I have tried editing from a cabinet, but I get restriction notices.

Brandon,

I'm not sure if I follow you 100%, but here is a 1/2" plywood panel (left end in this example) that has a 1.75" face frame stile attached and full dado construction going into it (see attached cabinet file). If this is not what you were talking about, If you get me a picture or drawing of what you need, I may be able to help you more.
