The last update we had made is so I can only do the room edits with my video acceleration turned down to almost nothing otherwise right after it loaded it would crash. If I was just going to be in the cabinet editor I could use full acceleration. I have no updates on my video card to be found. So, will this be it for me?

Leo,
Cannot give you a definite answer on this, but this update only includes a minor update to the graphics engine software, so you may be OK. You will just have to try and see (fingers crossed...).
Like Scott said there was only an incremental update to the graphics engine that had some bug fixes in it, not a new version. So your computer should work the same with ecabinets like it does with build 14 currently. If you don't want to messing with the video acceleration settings each time, you can go to settings/preferences and check on Force Software Rendering and Use Graphics Double Buffering, then restart ecabinets.
I tried the force rendering. It does what you said. But it also kills the ability to have acceleration when I work in the cabinet editor. I guess it's back to manually switching between the two. Thanks
Used Dell Precision laptops go for anywhere from 2 to 4 hundred dollars on craigslist. I have bought 3 of them, so far and they came with good grafix cards. 2 are still in service and 1 bit the dust. but for a 175 dollars it is still good for parts for the other
OK, the main problem I have is with the file IGLICD32.DLL. I had the original version that came with my computer, when I use this version I can't load the room without eCabs crashing. If I go into the cabinet editor it works find and is snappy and speedy.
Then I did an upgrade to my video driver. I've done this upgrade before and lost a key resolution, the one I use. This time for whatever reason I retained that resolution. It has a dll file date of 2007 and a version of v6.14.10.4814, this also crashes in the room edit and runs nice in the cabinet editor.
Then I found a newer version of the DLL, version 6.14.10.4926, this crashes in the room editor and works in the cabinet editor.
And even a newer version v6.14.10.5029. This one doesn't crash in the room editor, but I loose a lot of speed in the cabinet editor. It's like I lost the acceleration.
And even a newer version then that v6.14.10.5134, that acts the same as 5029, works in the room editor but slow in the cabinet editor.
I can't win here.
Is there anything anyone can think of that I can do to get the best of both worlds?
We are having the same issues it is very frustrating!
I tried down grading the video card and that worked the line drawing but everything else was patchy.
Well it looks like v6.15 will work. Still have to pot my video into cripple mode, but it does work still. I haven't done a new job on it yet so I hope everything will still function good.
