reply to this post and click the upload attachment tab. select browse and copy and paste c:\programdata\thermwood\ecabinet systems\ into the filename box and hit enter. It should bring you to that folder. select Restore_errors.txt and click open. the dialog will close and then click on add the file button. Then submit the post.

Re: Restore problem
It looks like the restore failed only on the following files ecabinets.ini and proposal.ini. Everything else should have been restore for you. You could manually copy those to files from your backup folder to c:\programdata\thermwood\ecabinet systems\.
go to your external drive and go into the backup folder select ecabinets.ini and proposal.ini and right click and select copy. Go to c:\programdata\thermwood\ecabinet systems\ folder and right click and choose paste. If you cant find c:\programdata\thermwood\ecabinet systems\, you can paste that path in the address bar of Windows Explorer and hit enter and it will take you there.

Re: Restore problem
Rick, thank you very much for your help! Something is still not right. When I use ecabinets all of my saved folders for assemblies and cabinets are missing. When I go to the door and drawer editor all of my saved doors and drawer fronts are missing. And, my materials are all gone as well. I did find the file folder on my external that contained all of my saved jobs and when I double clicked my most recent job it open with ecabinets but I had several pop ups saying missing materials. So i clicked the add material button in the pop up and the job opened up, and added the material to the material list. Its like some of the files did not restore yet. I think I might try and back up the program from the old PC to a flash drive, then try and restore again from there.
I have to go to a job today and will be off line most of the day. I will work on this issue later tonight. Thanks again for your help.

Re: Restore problem
What path are you putting in for the Backup Directory in the Backup/Restore Settings Dialog?

Re: Restore problem
Rick, I had the path going to the external drive. I think there was a problem when it backed up. I did go and back up ecabinets from the old pc on a flash drive. This worked and ecabinets is now restored to where I can use it. It did say that that it was a partial restore so I assume the proposal writer is missing but that's fine.
Thank you very much for your assistance, I apologize for not trying to fix this on my own before starting this thread.

Re: Restore problem
The one time I seen something similar was when the USB drive didn't have enough space. It acted like it did the back up, but when you went to restore it, all the files weren't there.
