Copy object from one job to another
I downloaded one of George's masterpieces from the 3D forum today and it is in the form of an .esj file. I can open the job (looks great and just what I need) but how do I get the object into another job? I tried copy/paste . . . nope. There doesn't seem to be any way of saving the object since it is neither a cabinet or assembly. Incidentally, it is one of the chairs from Chairs_2 in the 3D forum. Thanks.

Bring up the job
Select the object
Click on File
Select export selection
Select the import directory that you wish to save it in i.e. my hsfs and save
Now you should be able to load it into any job.

Scott! You're awesome! I knew there must be a way and even spent time searching the Nearly Compete Guide to eCabinet Systems but obviously was looking in the wrong place. Thank you.
Ok, back to work.

Re: Copy object from one job to another
The process to Export an object is in "The Nearly Complete Guide to eCabinet Systems". However, this particular application is not. The example in the guide demonstrates how to take a shelf and convert it into a glass shelf. This process can be done with any object or component in the Cabinet/Assembly Editor. Those that have purchased this book realize that it is a very thick book, but still there would be no way to anticipate everyone's possible need. The guide addresses the mechanics of using eCabinet's with many examples, but can not possibly cover every situation. Thus, "The Nearly Complete" title. It would take several hundred pages and still be "The Nearly Complete".
