I'm working with upper cabinets, which in this case are 12" deep. That measurement should be from the back of the cabinet to the front of the face frame. I dado my 1/2" back's into each side which makes everything flush on the back. Then the sides are dado'd into the face frame. My cabinet dimension in the editor are Cabinet Width 12", Cabinet Height 36", and Cabinet Depth 12". When I run my cutlist, the sides only measure out 11 1/8" which is 3/8" to short. The 3/8" happens to be the depth of my full dado. I want my sides to measure out at 11 5/8" so, than when you add in the last 3/8" on a 3/4" face frame you would end up with a cabinet that is 12" deep.
Any suggestions on how to make this work? Thanks in advance for the help.
When you post a reply, at the bottom of the forum screen there is a tab that reads Attachments.
Click that tab then click Add Files
Your path to your Cabinet folder should be similar to this
Inside the cabinets folder will be the folders where you save cabinets.
Go to that folder then find your "cabinet name".hsf file
add that file as the attachment.
Travis in construction settings in the right/left sides tabs. under "Construction" > Front. Choose the appropriate construction method. Full dado, blind dado etc. Then set your dado depth in construction parameters in those same tabs.
In Construction Settings:
Change the 3/8" Back inset on the Back, the left end and the right end to Zero
When you set the left and right construction to full dado with sides flush the software does the inset
If you don't want the back flush with the ends you can leave the Back inset but you must remove the left and right end insets.
