Greetings all!
After one of the more recent QCore software updates (not sure exactly which one), I started to have this problem.
When I want to view a modeled part in Profile Modeler, it crashes the entire THM application every time, without fail. I can open the file that contains the parts, but when I double-click on the part that I want to view, everything crashes. If the machine happens to be cutting when this happens, it goes into e-stop and we need to restart cutting the sheet.
If I try the same procedure immediately after crashing THM, it works fine.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
Does THM give you and option to send in a crash report or does it go to the Windows version of the software is crashing? Also what version of THM are you on? You can find it by going to Help and choosing About SuperControl.
Can you post an export of a job that does it as well as the .twd so I can load it into Profile Modeler?
Sorry I forgot to mention that Clint helped me resolve this issue. Turns out that the culprit was our graphics card driver. After updating the driver, we have no longer had this problem.
Thanks a lot Clint!
Many, many years ago - before eCabinet Systems - we work with "another" cabinet design software. A client had an issue with optimizing, wherein the software would crash. In that case too, a graphics card driver update solved the issue.
Don't know what-the-hey the programmers are doing with the graphics card during optimization - maybe using it's numeric processor they are taking advantage of. (???)
