I noticed that when adding an applied end to a cabinet using a defined material we cannot add edge banding through the edge banding editor. I am curious as to how others work around this and still provide the edge details for the edges that get banding applied. Currently, I use applied slab doors. However, this can become problematic when adjusting cost and applied door stiles with global item modifications.
I've never done an applied end panel from material that needed to be edgebanded. All my applied end panels are made of the same hardwood that my drawer faces, doors and faceframes are made from. If you are going to use something that needs to be edgebanded, I don't know of a work around. You might have to estimate the number of feet/inches of edgebanding and include that in the bid.
The only thing I can think of is to use a stretcher.
You could add properly sized left and right stretchers with edge-banding to the cabinets, turn them into phantom parts and mesh them into the left and right ends.
When you need them, turn off phantom and move them into place.
I know this is a lot of work for something that could be simple.
