Off-Fall Rectangles
Good afternoon,
I updated our two Thermwood's Control Nesting software to the latest version. Since the implementation, our off-fall have been taking different shapes. Before the update, our off-fall was taking the shape of large rectangles spanning the length of the material. Now, the long length of material is divided into various shapes, more square then rectangle.
Is there anyway of obtaining these same results without having to revert to an old version of control nesting?

Re: Off-Fall Rectangles
My observations show this too. I wondered, but we haven't run any high $ material in a little while, so it hasn't mattered yet.

Re: Off-Fall Rectangles
We are consistently running material where the length of the piece can be utilized for any recuts for that job, or nested for future jobs to save on material. If the material is being cut into small chunks, it is far more useless. I have found a small work around by changing the size of square in the nesting parameters. However, the results are not consistent. In addition, it is processing smaller chunks that were traditionally being tossed away into rectangles. Sheet processing time could increase by 10% because of this.

Joshua,
Can you get me an export for the job that generated the off fall for the image you posted? If you can't post it here you can email it to program@thermwood.com, put Attn Clint Forum in the subject line so I know what it is.

Joshua,
Version 7.03 was released yesterday and now contains a dropdown in Nesting Parameters that will hopefully get you at least back to where you where prior, if not add some more options as well.
