bit specific height adjustment

Post by Michel Leblanc »

the drill bits allow me to overide the depth of the cut to go past what the tool lenght sensor detects. it would be nice if there was an option for every bit to do this.
I use tongue and grove option and use the depth of the cut as adjustment for the fit to be tighter or looser, being able to adjust the depth of the cut on that particular bit would allow me to adjust the fit on the bit itself.

You could adjust the daylight for that tool. This will allow you to adjust it while running a program. Keep in mind it will affect every operation that tool is used for.

We use a 3/8 DS for tenon and dado operation so changing the daylight would affect the depth clearance as well but we are talking small numbers here.
