Hi Guys,
today I installed the V6B1 and hopefully will not need to go back to V5. I Also did a final backup on V5 before I installed V6. After that I ran V6 and did "Restore My Files". Now when I go to "Develop Cabinets or Assemblies" the explorer window takes a long time to load. It's true that I have lots of job folders from the old V5 but even if I remove them does it mean that by slowly accumulating job folders with V6 the explorer window will become slow again. This was not an issue with V5.

I agree with Georgi. When I click on folders in cabinet menu to load a job, it takes much longer in v6 than v5. I figured it was my computer runnign newer program btu it is definitely markedly longer than v5 to load files. I can live with it but it is different.

I've experianced real slow performance with the new version, takes close to 5 minutes to edit a cabinet while in the layout editor, the waiting is brutal. Version 5 was real quick, I'd like to go back to V5.

Re: V6B1 - Explorer Load Time
By Explorer load time, I think you are referring to the Item window when selecting your cabinets to load. If this is the case, you can probably get performance back up significantly by changing the view to LIST. Alternatively, you can add sub directories and organize to make each folder contain fewer cabinets.
The reason that this slows down is the drawing of the image icons in the window. When there are a large number of objects to draw, this takes on extra time.
It is our goal to make this faster in later versions. Since the software is now released, the first priority is to address Installation problems and critical program issues. We are also starting to work on optimization to make the program run faster on fewer resources.
I hope these suggestions help with your speed concerns.
