PROBLEMS WITH DOOR EDITOR

HI

WE GOT VERSION 6 WORKING ON 6 LAPTOPS, THE ONE RUNNING VISTA IS WORKING FINE, EXCEPT WHEN YOU GO TO DOOR EDITOR, AS SOON AS YOU TRY TO PICK A DOOR IT FREEZES THE COMPUTER.
WE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED VER.6 IT DIDN;T MAKE ANY DIFFERNCE, STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. ANY BODY OUT THERE HAS ANY IDEAS.

Have Vista on my dell laptop. .As soon as a new door is picked, error message :R6025 pure virtual function call: appears and e cabinets ver 6 shuts down. Seems to be a programming error. Who can Help?

I am running Ver 6 on my HP laptop with Vista OS and do not seem to be having this problem. I just edited a door in DE with any problems.

Yep, this sounds like a problem that I had last year with V5.2. It had to do with the mfc80.dll file. I would be curious as to whtat the message is when the program crashes. I don't believe that issue was ever resolved. I fixed it myself on my system, but at a risk of eternal damnation and hell fire.

Just tried the door editor on my system and no problem.

See if you can determine which DLL is causing the problem when the program crashes.

Karin, Jan,

There is a compatibility problem with one of the Microsoft mfc80.dll versions, .1833 I think. Updating to the latest version of the Microsoft Foundation Classes DLL does seem to help, or at least it does not hurt. Check out this Microsoft KB article and follow the instructions for your language version. With luck, all your troubles will go away.
