I have been using and retrieving my data from a user file on my Data drive for a few weeks now. Last night, in an effort to reorganize my hardware and Vendors, I deleted a good number of the extraneous vendors for the list. Some, of course could not be deleted.
On startup of V6 this AM, I recieved this error message: (placed over an Explorer view of the referred to location) .
When V6 was opened, here is a shot of the pertinent setting: (That shows that my data path was moved by eCabs)
Any ideas?

Re: Error with Relocated Files
Gary,
I am unsure as to why this message was tripped, so I will ask some questions that hopefully will make since in figuring out what has happened.
First of all, the message is triggered on launch of the software if for some reason the program cannot find the "Std Base Framed.hsf" file inside the Standard cabinets directory (\Cabinets\Standard Cabinets\Std Base Framed.hsf). If this file cannot be accessed, then the software will revert to the default, Public location from the installer so that at least the software will function and allow you to change the data to the correct path.
So, knowing this, is it possible that the data drive location that you have might have been off-line or unhooked at the time you started the software? Maybe it is a network location mapped as a drive? Possibly a USB external drive of some type? I am just taking some guesses in hopes of finding a possible cause here.
If this is not the case, then I hope that you can find some procedure that will cause location to change so that I might be able to further track the source of this error. In the mean time, I am going to review the possibility of defining alternate paths in the event that this happens instead of forcing the reset for the software to the default location.
I hope this helps.

Re: Error with Relocated Files
Ryan...
Sorry I didnt realize there was a reply to this thread. This error was user caused. I relocated the "Standard Cabinets" folder from the default "Cabinets" folder to a subfolder in the Cabinets folder. My reorganizational efforts were not so well thought out.
I moved the folder back to the default location and problem and error messages went away.
Thank you for your time, problem solved.
