Resize-ability

Post by Rob Babcock »

Is it possible to edit the way defined cabinets resize?

I am looking at a cabinet from the esl4766_1_paint_grade_ff_full_dado_pocket_screw collection, which I've attached (with some changes).

The thing is, when you change the width of the cabinet, the door and drawer front on the left side automatically change their widths in a predetermined ratio.

I would like to make the right side shorter and leave the door and drawer area sized like a 12" base cabinet with an extra wide right stile to tuck the cabinet into a very tight corner.

I've tried to use the face frame editor and the partition editor to change things with spectacularly bad results...

What I did
Took right Stile back to 2"
Then took the right outside scribe back to "0"
Made the Cab. 18" Wide then took the right outside scribe to -6"

I missed that outside scribe...

Thanks!!

Speaking of Resize-ability, let's say I wanted to make a detached toe assembly from 2 X 4 lumber and a plywood face, and I wanted to save that as an item I can bring in and then define the width and length when I place it, how do I do that?

I played around in the assembly editor, and I can't find a way to make this...
