Error log - Error numbers

Post by Josh Rayburn »

Is there a chart or reference for error numbers found in the error log such that we may decrypt the messages?
I only ask because there are too many numbers to count in there, I think I've got from 1 all the way up to 100 pretty much covered....

Josh,

The charts that we do have are for internal use only, in the event you have a particular error pop-up without sufficient instruction, just contact our service dept.

Hi Ryan,
Thanks - is there a way to export the error log in order to send over to the service department?
I think I've narrowed the problem down to a bad toolholder, but like I said - it caused so many errors so I'd like to check and be sure I got the gremlin....

You can email a copy of your PLC History file to service@thermwood.com for review. You will also need to specify you actual issue. The file is called "PLCHIST.THM" and is located in the C:\System directory.

Hi Ryan,
I e-mailed the file to you as requested.
We had a recurring problem in which the machine would e-stop itself with no error message displayed.
This consistently happened when T9 (5mm drill) was at max Z depth during the execution of a drill operation. This happened many times, and when I reset and sent the machine home, I did not see any good way to get back to that particular hole where I had the error, so we re-ran hundreds of holes again on the sheet - very time consuming. In fact on some sheets we had this happen three times.
Since replacing the toolholder, we have not had the problem but I'd be interested to see what the errors mean nonetheless only because there seemed to be so many of them...
Thanks,
jnr
