Adding materials for drawer fronts and doors

Post by Donald Thomson »

I've searched the archives and found a thread from 2008 on this process but it doesn't seem to work in the newest version.

How do I add new images to the materials for Conestoga doors and drawers?

I've put the image for the material I want in to:

\Public Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\Doors\Conestoga\FINISHES\hickory AND
\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\materials\SR-Wood AND
\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\materials\Hickory

folders.

For some reason, eCabinets keeps defaulting to the Hickory (calico pattern) image when I try to change the material to Rustic Hickory inside the door/drawer editor. I am selecting all the things I want on my doors and drawers including material and the images just won't take even though they ARE showing up in the General tab under finishes.

When I select this material for faceframes, display assemblies, display boards and sheets the rustic hickory I've chosen works just fine.

Is there something I'm missing to add materials for doors and drawer faces?
Sincerely,

Don,

Your image must be swapped for one of the existing images. The existing image name cannot be changed. I always replace the heatherblue images.

You will need to make the change in these two locations

\Public Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\Doors\Conestoga\FINISHES\hickory

\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\materials\Hickory

The problem is that when you download a new build or version the images will revert to the default and you will have to do this all over again.

Thanks Kerry,

That did the trick.

Maybe in a future release the TWD programmers could make this as easy as the material editor.
