Faster Tool Change
I'm in a situation where I need to save every second I can. I'm manufacturing thousands of small parts a week and even with custom tooling I still have to call two changes. I've fixtured my pods as close as possible to the toolbar. I've optomized my cut patterns and had tools made that can do more than one operation. What elsc could be done to get some speed? I really need my tool changes to be twice as fast. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Faster Tool Change
Bob, are you running a M48 in program? Any acceleration macros(G801, G802,etc.)....

Re: Faster Tool Change
I am using M48 for now while I perfect the feed rate on each species and tool. I'll remove it on the final programs. My concern at this point is speeding up the travel to and from the tool change. It would also benefit me if I could leave the cutting table stationary and pull the tools from the bar on the unused table.
