I am having extreme difficulties with the latest version of ecabinets. I have installed in on two different computers, tryed running repair on it several times, but still have the following issues:
1) after creating hole patterns for the glides we use, the program will use them once and then say that it can't find the patterns.
2) In serveral of the editors especially drawer box creator, and door and drawer front creator there are many unexpected actions by the programs especially relating to saving of new items, displaying materials properly with their assigned "images" . Since I have the same troubles on different computers I don't think it is my computer causing these problems. Does anybody else notice wierd stuff happening with the new edition. I have been using ecabinets for 5 years so I do have a reasonably good understanding of what to expect from the program. Frank Wedman

Issue 1) You can get around the hardware hole issue by setting the same pattern on the (slide and slide mount), (hinge and hinge mount), or (door pulls and drawer pulls). This will be resolved in bld. 9 which is in beta as we speak.
Issue 2) I would first update your graphics driver (even if you have done so not all that long ago.) Do not update this driver via windows, you must go to the graphics card manufacturers website and get the latest there. (or the PC manufacturer for some laptops).
Next, exclude eCabinet Systems main working paths and the exe from your anti-virus software and or spyware malware software. The paths to exclude are as follows:
Vista & Win 7:
App data path: C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems
User data path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems (unless you changed this)
XP:
App data path: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems
User data path: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\(shared)Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems (unless you changed this)
The exe is located in:
C:\Program Files\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems (for 32 bit systems)
C:\Program Files(x86)\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems (for 64 bit systems)
Do these things and if you still have troubles let us know.
