failure installing library

Post by Ken Klingman »

Hi,

Just became a member of the eCabinet Systems community and was looking at the available
pre-built libraries. Looked like "Stain Grade Face Framed Full Dado Library (210 items)"
was what I wanted, so I downloaded the installer.

However, when the installer starts it almost immediately says:

"Error 1334. The file 'ul_ATL80.dll.97F81AF1_0E47_DC99_FF1F_C8B3B9A1E18E' cannot
be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could
indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, o..."

I've had this happen with Chrome and IE8 and with & without eCabinetSystems6 running.

Pretty stock install of WIndows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The eCabinetSystems6 program
seems to work fine, at least in the little bit that I've tried it. Would really like to get
this library...

One other note. I tried installing another of the libraries and got the same error, so it's likely something amiss with my system and not the specific library.

I just got this library to install. I'm not for sure what I did to make it work, but I first went through and removed a bunch of garbage from my laptop. I then ran windows update over and over until all updates were done. I then ran ccleaner, including the registry cleaning over and over until it could find nothing to fix. I then thought I would try to install the library again and it went right through it.

Wish that would have worked for me. I did the same, other than "removing a bunch of garbage", but including running windows update until clean and then running registry cleaning. Still failed.

Ken,

Try right clicking on the installer then choose "Run as Administrator"

Ken,

Please download and install this Microsoft Redistributable package and then try to run the install(s) again.

Installing the Visual C++ redistributable package did the trick. I hate Windows!

But thanks a million for the tip. The library install went like a breeze.
