Shelf Editor Problems

Post by Felicia L Lowe »

I'm curious if anyone else has run into this problem and was able to fix it. I have a whole file of cabinets that I use in my batch cabinets to work estimates from, they all have developed this same problem. I am no longer able to select the area to put in a shelf, it just shows a box on the exterior of the cabinet. I'm really hoping that the files are not corrupt and I do not have to rebuild the entire folder of cabinets.

Thanks much

The cabinet was corrupted somehow, so I removed the face frames, then put them back on. Not sure how your doors were applied, but you can try this as a base to add them back if you like.
Hope this helps,

Felicia,

As Josh mentioned, this cabinet has somehow become corrupted. How you got it to this state is a mystery, and definitely not the norm. If you would be able to reproduce this again, please let us know the steps. If we can reproduce it, we can fix it.

Thank you for the help. I did remove the faceframes then was able to add shelves, then had to put back on the faceframes and doors. I'm not sure how they all got to be corrupted, maybe system froze while in Ecabinets or something because it is the whole library of cabinets. Looks like the fastest way will to be to delete everything that is corrupted and start from a clean cabinet and modify to make a new library. Darn it, it was really nice to have had it all set-up, made my estimating time faster. Once I get started I'm sure it will go quickly and once again will have my estimating library working again.

Thanks again for all the help
