I am trying to find a way to easily change the colors on the renderings itself. My customers need every visual aid possible. I can set up my rendering to any cabinet type based by my selected doors and drawer fronts, but I would like a way to set it up without setting up a new inventory for each library. have over 200 cabinets in my file from my basic oak layout, but I would like a way to render it in white, black, possibly brownish or redish stains, etc? any suggestions
Hi Brandon.
While in custom layout you can do the folowing
(1) Right click and under edit options select modify textures. This will bring up the the area to modify textures. This area list all of the materials and textures that you currently have in the drawing
(2) From here you can select a replacement material from the available textures that you have set up in the images area by clicking on the "not set button" beside of the material that you wish to change the image of. When you do this a window pops up asking you to select a directory. This is where you can select from the available images. If by chance there is not a image that you like there are several ways to create one i.e. you could scan a actual sample and import it into your images directory or in the case of solid colors you can pick a solid color and edit it but that is a totally new thread.
Do remember that when you use this method it will only change the texture it will not change the actual material that the cabinet is constructed from.
Hope this helps.
