Flip ops not aligning
Greetings all! Looking for anyone that has some advice for me on how to get flip ops to cut correctly. A number of years ago, our machine cut flip ops beautifully. But something seems to have gotten out of alignment. Dados that get cut on the B side are misaligned by about 1.5 - 2mm. If anyone can point me in the right direction to correcting this issue, that would be much appreciated.

UPDATE:
Discovered part of the problem, at least. Our pop-up pins appear to have been knocked out of alignment. I'm guessing that once we've corrected this, it'll be easier to rectify the rest of the problem.

You are correct in that anything off in the pop up pins will make for incorrect flip operations. Once you have looseness and alignment taken care of in the pins, load a full sheet on to the table with the pins up. Mark where the pins touch the material, turn on vacuum to the table and lower the pins. Bring the spindle out with a tool or precision pin and pinch a piece of paper between the tool and side of the material. Raise Z up, step in the radius of the tool and write down the number shown for the axis you were moving to pinch the paper. For the two pins along the X axis (for the Y offset value), average the two values you found. They should be pretty close to each other.
You can also use an edgefinder like this one https://generaltools.com/single-ended-1 ... dge-finder rather than a tool. They make it much easier as you don't have to pinch paper, only visually watch the edgefinder to know when you're on the edge of the material.
