nesting and cutting edited display panels

I work at a place that uses e-cabs now(no I work on the floor) however they asked me to look at a display panel they were trying to cut...

Basically a panel with a 1/4x 3/8 dadoe off one long side...well when I used the part editor everything went well however when we went to nest it no dadoe was present....I believe they solved it (by callinbg Thermwood) however I was curious as to why it does not nest correctly?
