filters...

Post by Mark Hesketh »

I know this was touched on briefly ages ago, but I was just wondering if this is still on the wish list and actually hoping it can be moved up a few notches... I would love to see a filter in CN so that you can turn on or off certain materials.

For instance, you could load however many twd files you like, hit load, then have CN pop up with a report telling you what materials are present with a check-box beside each allowing you to select which ones it looks at.

The way we run things is that we load a dozen jobs, then manually go through the entire cabinet list and turn off all but the veneer parts, then set them up and run them together. this way we get a hole bunch of jobs worth of finished parts down to the finishing room to work on while we go back and cut the white mel parts. It also means I have to spend less time moving stacks of material around on the forklift. I would rather spend 1 day a week moving stack after stack than have to do it every single day. The manual process of turning on only the finished parts, and vica versa, is tedious, very time consuming, and very open to opperator errors.

A material filter would make my life so much easier... it brings a tear to my eyes just thinking about it :)

There is no definite date at this time, but we will do our best to make this option available as soon as possible.
