Strange thing with the forum clock / time...

Post by Al Navas »

Try this:

1. While logged off, look at the time of the latest post

2. THEN log in, and look at the time of the same post

This time shows the time to be hour earlier after I log in. However, while logged off, the time shows up correctly for me, in Central Daylight Saving Time.

Is anyone seeing this too? Maybe I started paying attention only recently - I used to have my machine log in automatically, but have not been doing so recently.

Time is functioning exactly as designed. When logged off, you get the time of our server, which is on Central Daylight Time. When you log in, the time displayed is based on the time zone field in your profile. Sounds like you need to bump it one hour.

Also, the software functions on Greenwich Mean Time, so if your locality observes daylight saving time, you must change your profile twice a year.

Thanks, Dean! I would not have been able to figure out this one on my own :wall: . Now all is OK with the times .
