nesting problem - nongrained material nesting

Post by Erkan Aktuna »

Hi Guys!!

I've got a new machine and everything is good but i have a problem with nesting. On CN-nesting settings there is only 2 alternatives (X - cutting the table along the length and Y - cutting the table along the width). But i got job with non-grained material so while nesting, it nests like grained material. So nesting yield is too low!

I tried to find a solution on CN for this problem but i couldn't. Please help me :(

Hi Erkan,
If you are using eCabinets, this setting needs to be changed in there.
If you go in to setting/preferences and create a new material, make sure it doesn't have \"Grained\" ticked. Then you have to go to the door/drawer editor and create new doors and drawers with this new materialYou can then change your sheet stock and door material through detail room by right clicking on the screen > Change > Sheet stock then select your new material.
For doors, you have to select all the door cabinets, Right click > Adjust cabinet features > Change > Doors and select the new material for your doors. Same again with Drawers.
If this job has been done in batch cabinets you can only change the sheet stock. To change doors and drawers you will have to take each individual cabinet to the cabinet editor and change them from there.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Paul it's true but my problem is with the machine CN. On ecab it can be fixed but i don't have any problem with the materials that i checked on ecab. Problem is on CN-nesting.

Try changing your nesting angle to 90 in the settings area....
