Appropriate start point not found..

Post by Jeff Sallows »

Hello, I have been trying to run this dogbowl holder for a customer, but i get an error when i click write cnc saying \"Appropriate start point for operation 3 not found\" which is the outline cut. I did run it to see what happened. The cutting starts where the 2 arcs meet, but it cuts in to far. Is there a way around this? I tried breaking my arcs into several arcs because i thought the machine was getting confused at where to enter the arc cut? If someone could help me out it would be appreciated!
Thanks Jeff

Hi Jeff,

If you will send (program@thermwood.com, put \"THM Forum\" as subject) me a copy of your dxf file, I will be glad to take a look and give you some suggestions. As a note, there can only be one outline layer per dxf drawing, then you must use other layer names to cut characteristics of a part. If you have a case that you would not want to cut an outline for a particular part, you can simply go into the SETTINGS of Control Nesting and check \"No outline cuts\".

Thanks!
