Duplicate Material Found

Post by Rob Perry »

I was working on a project yesterday, even opened & closed it a few times, now this morning all I get is the attached message. I don't get it. Now I can not get the file to open. It seems the program wants me to change my 5/8\" maple print melamine to something else.

OK.. I sort of figured it out.. I entered a name of \"problem material\" and was able to open the file. Then I brought up the cutlist for the whole project & searched for the \"problem material\" and presto a upper cabinet had a adj shelf that was this \"problem material\" .. I took the cabinet to cabinet editor and checked the proper material in the Global Setting.. Then checked cutlist for the cabinet to confirm it was gone.. Problem Now Gone !!! I will now delete the \"problem material\" from sheet Goods..
The funny thing is I thought I checked the global setting to the right material before adding the adj. Earlier I had done a sheetstock change from detail room as the customer changed their mind from Pre-finished 3/4 Birch to 5/8 Maple print melamine for the cabinet Boxes. I think it all has to do with doing a sheet stock change. I have had a few different issues since the sheet stock change. I think when a sheet stock change is done it should also update the Global in Construction settings.. I've heard some say they don't change sheet goods because it causes issues. But what else do you do when the customer changes their mind ??

Rob, This is a bug for sure. I encountered the same problem on my last sheet stock change and wasn't sure till now.
