Edgebanding with build 4

Post by Gene Davis »

Will someone who has cut lotsa parts now with Build 4, please comment as to whether it is properly edgebanding?

By that I mean, is it doing all the label-prints right? Is it always getting the edgebanding right on labels?

not all of my labels are printing with the correct diagrams. I am still getting some stretchers with a diagram of a corner cabinet shelf on them. I might just be special though.

That's disturbing news, especially for those who ship files into a production-share shop.

What makes you think your instances are unique?

Mark, I don't have a machine but there is a bug in ecabs in the edgebanding... if you place a cabinet in a room and then disassociate it from the wall it will lose its edgebanding data... if you then select the cabinet and take it to the cabinet editor and click the edgebanding icon it says that there is not enough data to edgeband the cabinet (or something like that,) Also, the graphic showing the edgebanding won't show on the labels.

This is a problem I can reproduce reliably using the standard seed cabinets (the exact steps to reproduce are in another post)

Jeremy,

If you get the data error on edge banding just right click and choose to delete all part edits even if there are none this will rebuild the cabinet to its original state which will have banding.

Forrest
