Odd View after Update

Post by JohnLashuay »

I just updated to the latest build this AM.

I opened an existing kitchen that I was working on previously. After the update, I edited an assembly from the kitchen, placing it in the cab assembly editor. I highlighted one of the cabinets, and clicked construction settings. I wanted to change the top material, so in the \"Top\" tab, I clicked on define materials. I added a new top, and clicked ok. Once it rendered in Cab Assembly Editor, it had a wire rendering of the top view of the kitchen layout now attached in the window.

It is supposed to do this? Does this create a problem?

John,
First of all, you cannot render within the cabinet editor. Did you mean you used the \"enhanced view\" button?

Anyway, within the cabinet editor, try hitting esc on your keyboard. This should clear out any selection lines that shouldn't be there. Let me know if this helps.

Todd,

Once I highlighted a cabinet from an assembly, and I have gone into \"Construction Settings,\" I clicked on the the \"top\" tab. Then I defined the the material, created a new one, then I chose that material to replace the current material color. Once I click \"OK\" the wire top view shows up along with the assembly.

And also an error message comes up. \"Error writing cabinet version history\"

I hit the esc button, and that doesn't do any good.

Just to let you know, I duplicated this two addtional times.

It doesn't do this if as long as I don't define materials once I go to construction settings.

Hope this helps.

Kerry,

I don't find it to be a great problem, because now I know if I need to define materials to just do that a different time.

Thanks Kerry, I realize that it isn't just my computer doing this!

John

I think the eCabinet guys would still need to look into this problem.
