Error message in crystal

Post by leigh mills »

Hi guys,

Has anyone used crystal reports? I am getting prompted with a username and password! This is when trying to link to excel. Just wondered if anyone had used crystal reports, you may be able to help me?

This could be down to not having Administrative rights, not sure though!

I have posted on the crystal reports forum but they seem to take a life time to get back lol, so just seeing if anyone had used it.

Thanks,

Leigh Mills

About all I can think of is that you haven't setup the data source properly. It has to have a username and password to connect to any data source.

Crystal Reports is not the friendliest piece of software as you've found out. You are welcome to join me in the "Official I Hate Crystal Reports Club" (I'm the founding member). :joker:

I cant find a way of changing the password on the data source, even if i create a new one through ODBC Administrator, there is no option to create a new username or password!! :wall:
