FILLETS IN PART EDITOR

I loaded a display cube 80mm wide 40mm high 500mm deep into the part editor went to fillet it so it looks like a half round. selected 40mm for the radius but it only lets me put it on one corner,says I have to choose a different size fillet.Then I tried a 80mm square cube and tried to make it round with the same 40mm fillet once again I can do three sides but not the last corner.What gives? Do you have to use a circle mode on the 80mmX80mm and a 3 point arc on the 80mmX40mm?? Have only been using the part editor for a few days so a bit of help would be appreciated!
