I hit the tool button and it tells me systematic error and select close contour I blow the picture up and make sure all my lines are touching. When I go to use the tool its not there. What am I doing wrong... :?

Hi Gary, I cant quite get a grip on your problem. What are all the steps you are taking to create the tool? to make sure the lines join use the "trim" tool. Besides this a 1/2" core box should be available as one of the tools in the library so you should not need to draw it

Gary,

That post deals with making the ends of the flutes rounded. That visual effect has never been important enough to me to give the time it takes to accomplish it. I just let my stopped flutes end square. I guess if I were doing an extreme closeup of the flutes it might be worth it.

It will be good practice using the part editor for you.
