i'm working on a work table for a client. the question is that i need shelves on the front and back of the cabinets. i put a inset on the back to the distance i need. the front side of the work table is complete. now i need to basically need to copy to the other side. same hole pattern shelves, and partions. thanks darren
I just had this problem and the way I went about it is to start the way that you said with the back inset, then take it into the part editor, make a line at the halfway point, then mirror the front part. Then you could double the shelves and partitions that you needed.
You set up a cabinet twice as deep as you need for the one side (for instance with a 3/4 in. back you could have a 48 in. deep cabinet which would equal two 23 and 5/8 in. deep cabinet). Then you put the appropriate inset on the back and put your shelves, etc. in the front side. Take the cabinet part into the part editor, then into the second screen of the part editor, create a line in the exact middle of the part, right click and select the Create Edges which will outline your adjustable shelf holes, etc. Then click on the mirror button and follow the on screen instructions to mirror the front around the line you created to the back of the cabinet part. Take the part back to the first screen of the part editor ,right click and select the cut/pocket option, and select the appropriate depth.
