Buy List

Post by Gary Puckett »

Is anybody else having problems with the buy list not showing everything the job needs.
I draw everything in the cabinet editor get the whole job done go to the buy list and its not all there,Doors ,drawer boxes, hinges ,hinge plates , drawer slides, molding and so on.

Just want to know am I doing something wrong or is it the program?

It takes a lot of time to put together a presentation drawing and when it's finally done, you need to depend on the mateial and hardware list to be right without having to spend more time going back over all the cabinets and checking everything again.

Gary, can you be more specific with what your missing? If it's hardware, then maybe it,s not associated with the seed cabinet that you start with. If you look at Buy List in the help menu, it shows what will be indicated on the Buy List and the Master Purchase Order. HTH

Rick,

Thanks for the responce, but what the buy list drop down says that when you look at the buy list from the custom layout with nothing highlited it covers the whole job.

I see no hinges, hingeplate, corbells, or even the sheet good, and hardwood. Now with the corbells I know it's user created but it still has a dollar amount.

Gary,

Open one of the cabinets in your job in the cabinet editor and then click on the Define Defaults/Add Items icon then click on Go to Cabinet Defaults and see if it has default hardware, moldings, pulls etc. If it doesn't have any listed that is your problem as Rick was referring to.

Also if you want Lazy Susan's or other items to show up you must click the Go to Cabinet Items and add them there. Then they will show up on your buy list and your shopping cart.

Sheet Stock and Board Stock don't show up on the buy list. They are just listed in the cut list. They will show up on the Cost Sheet.

For your user created objects you must assign a cost in the Display Part Editor and check the Cut List Part box or that dollar amount won't show up.
