Hey Guys,
I forgot how to make a hinge and hinge plate a default.

Re: Default
Gary,
Two ways,
With your cabinet open in the cabinet editor
Go to the Door/Drawer Editor and click on the Hardware selection button
Select a hinge and plate an make them default for this cabinet
With your cabinet open in the Cabinet Editor
Click on the Define Defaults/ Add Items button
Click on the Go to Cabinet Defaults link
Click Edit on the Default Hinge and Default Hinge Mounts and select your hardware as default
With both of these methods you will then have to go to the door drawer editor and remove the doors and then add them again to have the new hardware show up on your buy list and shopping cart.

Re: Default
Kerry,
You mean that if I go to the Define/Default button and then click add items, then add the items I want to be with that cabinet it won't show up on the buy list or shopping cart?

Re: Default
Gary,
If you click Go to Cabinet Items and add items there they will immediately show up on your Buy List and Shopping Cart. I use this area to add things like Lazy Susans, shelf pins wire pullouts, a secondary hinge and mount (ie for pie cut doors) etc that you want to add to a cabinet.
You want your hinges and hinge mounting plates to be defined under Go to Cabinet Defaults. The default hinges and mounting plates are then added when you place a door on a cabinet automatically when you add a door. Then these hinges and plates will show up on your buy list and shopping cart.
What I was referring to is that if you have a cabinet with the doors already on it and you go to Cabinet Defaults and set a new hinge and mounting plate, that hinge and mounting plate won't be added to the cabinet until you place the doors again. If you don't remove and replace the door your buy list and shopping cart will show the original default hinge and plate or no hinge and plate depending on how you had the cabinet originally configured.
