Sorry if this is a basic question but I still have a lot of learning to do even though I've been using ecabs for about 2 years now.
Normally when I create walls I only create what is needed to put the cabinets on because every time I've done more I always end up very frustrated. I can never seem to make them do what I need to do without deleting and recreating them 10+ times. Anyway, I am designing my own kitchen this time and I am putting in all the walls so I can visualize the walking paths and such. My problem is with trying to enter a hall passage. It's not a door but more like a section of missing wall. I first tried to create 2 walls but couldn't find a way to measure the distance of the opening. I assume there must be a way? Since I couldn't figure that out, I found the cut geometry method. This seemed like an even better solution. The problem I now have is that even though in the wall editor my rectangle shows perfectly, everything after the rectangle is missing once I render... Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any help is GREATLY appreciated! thx

Please email me your file so I can take a look at it. I will try to render it here to see what happens. I have never seen anything go missing after a cut out is placed in a wall.

Re: Walls and geometry cutouts
Actually, I think I may have figured out what is causing it. I created another cutout in the opposing wall but it didn't have the same problem. The difference is, the wall with the problem has the cutout at the full height of the wall and the one that worked correctly is more like a door way that isn't full height. So, try creating a full height cutout in a wall and see what happens. If you still don't see the problem, let me know and I'll send you the file. thx

It worked fine on my computer. Please send you file to me and I will look at that.
