Is it possible to show a cabinet with glass shelves?
Also for the glass in the door.
Any thoughts
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Glass Shelves ?
Hey Gary, if you enter Glass Shelves in the search box you will find what you need.

Re: Glass Shelves ?
I've had two files posted to the web as examples of the contents of "The Nearly Complete Guide to eCabinet Systems". Coincidentally, these documents describe how export a shelf and modify it in the Display Part Editor. It does not show how to install the resulting glass-like shelf in the cabinet, but it is a Display Object, so can be selected and installed as a Display Object. These parts must be asssociated to the cabinet otherwise they will not be saved.
To view the two examples, go to the Training tab on www.ecabinetsysems.com. Locate the image tile for the training guide. Double-click on the image. Then locate Excerpt 1 and Excerpt 2. These are the links. You can download and save these two files.

Re: Glass Shelves ?
It certainly would be nice if we could just have a sheet material setting for glass, so instead of selecting an image you would just check the "transparent" check box which in my dream world is right below the "Single Side" checkbox. This would be terrific. Then the glass we need would show up on the cut lists and such, plus be entered in the cost information.
With this method placing the "glass" shelves would also create shelf holes for the CNC to mill AND the shelves would be parametric.
How hard can this be? We already have the capability in the Cabinet/Assembly Editor to make a part "transparent", so is it that much harder to add another field for sheet material transparency?
Thanks,
Joe
