Hi Guys,
Having a problem with grooving, we have been doing 8mm grooves and using a 8mm tool, which has been working fine. We have now got a job which needs a 18mm back, we have set the back at 18mm which we then sent to the machine. This is where we are getting a problem as the machine says it doesnt have the correct tool.
I'm not sure why this is! does it have to have the correct sized tool to do the backs? so for example 8mm back needs 8mm tool and the 18mm groove would need a 18mm tool. Or should the 8mm tool be doing serveral passes to make the 18mm groove.

You are trying to machine a 18mm groove in a back, is that correct? Send me the twd file and your export file from Control Nest. I will look at the file and your tool settings here.
